Banner Advertising

Banner advertisements appear:

On the Front Page:

• At the top across the entire width of the page (“Leaderboard”);
• At the top of every page to the right of the Lake News logo (“Masthead”);
• On the right hand side of every page at the top (“Front Right Top”);
• On the right hand side of every page at the bottom (“Front Right Bottom”);
• Approximately half way down the page on the left (“Front Left”).

On Inner Pages:

• At the top across the entire width of the page (“Leaderboard”);
• At the top of every page to the right of the Lake News logo (“Masthead”);
• On the right hand side of every page (“Inner Right”); and
• At the base of the centre column of every page (“Inner Centre”).

To ensure that pages are easy to read and not cluttered with advertising:

• A maximum of three (3) advertisements will appear on any one page.
• A Leaderboard and a Masthead advertisement will NOT appear together on the same page,

You have an exclusive right to occupy a banner position for the period of your advertisement. You may provide up to four (4) banners that will be rotated in turn in your banner position for the period of your advertising order.

Banner Position Sizes

• Leaderboard: 728 x 90 pixels (standard leaderboard size)
• Masthead: 468 x 60 pixels (standard banner size)
• Front Right Top: 300 x 250 pixels
• Front Left: 300 x 250 pixels
• Front Right Bottom: 300 x 250 pixels
• Inner Right: 300 x 250 pixels
• Inner Centre: 120 x 600 pixels (standard tower size)

Payment is by direct bank deposit or by PayPal. Payment by credit card is offered through the PayPal service. Alternative forms of payment will be accepted, however there will be a surcharge to the offered rate.

Lake News can prepare a simple advertisement for you at no charge. However, you are encouraged to have your advertisement professionally prepared by a graphic design specialist who has experience in preparing internet banner advertising.

This Banner Advertising policy comes into force on 15 January 2011.
