The first night of Winter Season Grand Finals were played last night, Tuesday 7 September 2010. The Under 12 Boys final between Boomers and Bogut Dunkers was most entertaining and reflected the progress the players have made in terms of skills and understanding of the game.
The South East Coast Basketball League Winter Premierships will be decided at the Bern Bruning Stadium this Wednesday, 8 September 2010. The Women’s title match, commencing at 7:15 pm, follows the Under 14 and 16 Girls Grand Finals. The Men’s final tips off at 8:30 pm.
Panthers-Wizards Men and Cougars Women move into the winter season grand finals after scoring wins in the respective preliminary finals last night. The Panthers women opened in a more confident manner against Cougars than they had in previous encounters. Their regulation season results read 66-46, 58-30 and 48-35, all in Cougars’ favour.
