Classified Advertising

Classified Advertising is offered to the reader via the Lake News Marketplace.

As with everything, there are a number of rules and conditions.

1. The first rule is that we will remove any advertisement (without warning, and without refund) if it is deemed offensive by Lake News management. Lake News is a community online newspaper, with a readership that includes the very young and very old. Please remember that when placing your advertisement.
2. You are not to place advertisements which are illegal, or for products or services that are illegal, in South Australia, or in any state or territory of the Commonwealth of Australia. If you are from Mars, that applies to you, too. So, if you want to operate a giant Ponzi scheme (or even a small one), please go somewhere else.
3. Classified advertisements will be displayed for a length of time (usually 30 or 90 days) agreed upon at the time of lodging your advertisement. If you wish to advertise for a different period of time, please contact Lake News staff at this email address. After the agreed length of time your advertisement will be deleted.
4. There is no limit on the number of advertisements you may place with Lake News, however spam attempts (placing the same or similar advertisement more than once) will be dealt with by friends of Lake News who wear black suits and dark sunglasses.
5. In a moment of madness, the Editor has allowed links to external websites to appear with your Lake News Marketplace classified advertisement. Any links that appear in the special box for website links will link directly to your website. Any link placed in the body of your advertisement will not be directly linked.

Fees & Charges:

• For 30 days: $4.40
• For 90 days: $11.00.

Payment is accepted by PayPal or by direct bank deposit.

How to Submit Your Classified Advertisement

To place your classified advertisement, send an email to this email address with the following information:

Information for Lake News’ records:

1. Name
2. Address
3. Telephone (landline)
4. Category (Business Services, Employment, For Sale, Public Notices, Real Estate)
5. Time Period. Either 30 days ($4.40) or 90 days ($9.90).
6. Your preferred payment method:
   1. PayPal (use PayPal to pay by credit card); or
   2. Direct bank deposit).

1. Text of advertisement
2. Contact information
3. Website (if any)
4. Photos (maximum 2)

How to Pay for Your Classified Advertisement

• If you nominate PayPal, we will send you a PayPal link telling you how to pay.
• If you nominate Direct Bank Deposit, we will send you our bank account details.

Date of Effect

This Classified Advertising policy comes into force on 15 January 2011.
