Reels @ Wehl Film Society's next screening is 'There will be Blood' on Thursday 19 November 2009 at the Wehl Street Theatre.

Seventy-five years after he became the first Australian to receive a dedicated memorial in the famous Poet's Corner of Westminster Abbey, Adam Lindsay Gordon will be remembered during an international mission by members of the group which was set up to preserve his memory.

A record number of entries have been received from over 75 participating artists around Australia for the Southern Ocean Art Prize.

The Art Prize Committee has received entires from artists from places as far reaching as Bribie Island and Tasmania. The exhibition will showcase over 120 individual pieces of a diverse and interesting collection of artwork across a variety of mediums, contributed by the many prolific and talented local artists in addition to others from all over Australia.
