A Garden and Music Fair will be held at the Community Garden, Mount Gambier, on Saturday 21 November 2009 at 1:00 pm, immediately following the Christmas Pageant.

The Amateur Gardener decided to celebrate the first real spring day of the year by doing all those jobs that remained undone during the winter.

Nursery and seed retailers unknowingly selling a serious weed as a popular salad vegetable are being urged to remove it from their shelves.

The Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation is concerned that some nursery and seed retailers are selling the declared plant ‘Lincoln weed' under the name of wild rocket. Common rocket, which is a different species of plant and is not a weed, can be legally sold.
