The Penola Memorial Park Playground is now open for all to enjoy after major works to upgrade the facilities have been completed.

Wattle Range Council worked closely with the Proud of Penola Committee and a community playground committee comprising of mothers and young children, regarding the playground design.

Following a review of several playground equipment manufacturers, Forpark Australia was engaged by Council to undertake the final design, manufacturing and installation of the playground equipment. Forpark Australia is 100% Australian owned and have been manufacturing and supplying playground equipment since 1979.

A combination of Council and Government Grant money were allocated to the project to realise its completion.

Council's Manger - Assets & Engineering Services, Mr David Mosel said, "The playground will provide recreation opportunities for a wide range of abilities and is characterised by play equipment incorporated into metal structures. Ramps, steps, bridges, ladders and swings will provide numerous vertical and horizontal play opportunities and create an attractive, challenging and fun area for children and families alike".
