Following a relatively dry November, the rains finally came only to force the cancellation of all matches in Round 3 of the Mount Gambier & District Cricket Association's XXXX Gold Barber Shield last Saturday.

As there were no first innings results achieved, the round will be abandoned.

Attention now turns to Round 2 of the XXXX Gold Twenty20 Cup on Wednesday and Thursday nights this week, followed by the beginning of the GEM (Gambier Earth Movers) Representative Series this Friday and Sunday with the GEM City vs Country Weekend.

The City and Country teams will begin the weekend on Friday at 5.45pm with a Twenty20 match at Frew Park, followed by a 50 over One-Day match to be held on Sunday.
