The Junior Sports Assistance Fund has made a donation of $450 to Mount Gambier District Little Athletics Centre on behalf of Jamie McInerney.

Jamie has been selected to represent the Wheelchair Sports Association of South Australia Junior and Youth Team to compete at the Australian Paralympic Youth Games, which will be held in Melbourne from 5 to 11 October 2009.

The Junior Sports Assistance Fund is a joint project between the District Council of Grant and the Mount Gambier City Council, which was formed to assist young competitors from the South East compete at a national or international level.

This grant of $450 brings the total donated for this year to $4,350. Total donations since 1 July 1988 (the commencement of the fund) is now $276,300.
