Cottee's Schools Soccer came to Mount Gambier this week, as Tenison Woods College hosted a 5-a-Side Gala Day.

The event provided children the opportunity to participate and play small sided football in a carnival like atmosphere.

Vadori inducted to Inter Hall of Fame E-mail

international-awards-vadoriIn one of the last events of a successful year, the Italo Australian Club last night hosted the International Soccer Club 2009 end of season awards night.

A highlight of the night was the induction of Gino Vadori to the International Soccer Club Hall of Fame. Gino Vadori is the first inductee to the Hall of Fame, and follows a successful career both on and off the pitch, and an almost life long devotion to the promotion of the game at Casadio Park.

IAC moves forward with proposed Casadio Park development E-mail

Members of the Italo Australian Club, Mount Gambier, met over the weekend to discuss the proposed sporting facility development.

The proposed development includes a new building on the western side of Casadio Park, the development of a second soccer pitch, and an upgrade to the existing Club building.

Italo Australian Club members to vote on major development E-mail

Members of the Italo Australian Club will this weekend vote on a major development, which is proposed for Casadio Park, Mount Gambier.

The proposed development has been drawn for the western side of Casadio Park, and will be funded by a combination of existing funds, government grants, and borrowings from within the club. There will be no external borrowings.

Large turnout for charity soccer match E-mail

The annual Celebrity Challenge Soccer match was played earlier tonight under lights at Casadio Park. The large crowd was entertained by some very good, and some very bad, soccer.

The night was a successful one, however, with over $1,500 raised for local charities, including the Matubi children.

Teams for the Annual Celebrity Challenge Soccer Match to be held at Casadio Park on Wednesday 30 September 2009 have been released.

In the first game (kicking off at 6:30 pm), International Over 35s will be out to avenge last year's defeat by the SA Police Team.

Blue Lake have taken out the 2009 Shadows / Belgiorno Cup with a 5-3 win over Apollo in an exciting match played yesterday.

In good conditions the game started with gusto with the only change being Chris Bytheway missing from the Apollo line up due to suspension. His place was taken by the up and coming Tom Inglis.
