Members of the Italo Australian Club, Mount Gambier, met over the weekend to discuss the proposed sporting facility development.

The proposed development includes a new building on the western side of Casadio Park, the development of a second soccer pitch, and an upgrade to the existing Club building.

At the meeting, there was general discussion about the new sporting facility. Plans have not been finalised, and may change following constructive feedback from members.

Members were assured that the Board has no intention of borrowing from external sources to complete the development. Project funding will come from existing Club funds and various government grants, with debentures issued to club members making up any shortfall.

A motion was passed allowing the Project Committee to proceed and seek funding for the proposed development. Once funding is arranged, further meetings will be called to discuss details of the development, and to decide whether or not to finally proceed.
